Wizard Skill Build Levels 1-9

This Build uses Magic Missle as the signature spell, Ray of Frost to slow down enemies while doing good damage to them and a Frost Nova to get yourself out of sticky situations and Arcane Orb for some extra AoE damage.

Here you finally get to start using Electrocute as your signature spell. You will still use Ray of Frost to slow and damage enemies and you now put the Snow Blast Rune on it to increase its damage. Frost Nova to freeze targets in place, Arcane Orb for good AoE damage. Diamond Skin as your primary defensive to keep yourself alive. Slow Time to slow enemies, and later it will increase the damage you do to them by 20%. You finally get to pick up your first useful passive Glass Cannon for a 15% damage boost.

The major differences in this skill build is that you now get to pick up Disintegrate and throw the Convergence rune on it to hit more enemies. Pick up Teleport with Safe Passage as a defensive to get away from mobs. Add Time Warp to your Slow Time to add 20% damage bonus to the enemies caught in your bubble. The Passive skill Prodigy will help you with Arcane Power Regeneration from using Electrocute.

You can Teleport every 2 seconds for plently of escapes, 3 extra Mirror Images so that you can get out of sticky situations. Archon and improved archon for maximum damage.
Passsive skill Glass Cannon, well it makes you a glass cannon – increasing your damage by 15% with 15% less armor and resistances.
Prodigy will allow you to build up Arcane power quickly by using Electrocute so that you can drop more Meteors.
Arcane Dynamo will allow you to use meteor for an increased 75% damage to the meteor ability, or any other non-signature spell you wish to use..
If arcane dynamo has a low proc rate then switch Arcane Dyanmo to Astral Presence for the extra arcane power and arcane regeneration like this build:

Maximum Single Target Damage Glass Cannon

Keep familiar up for a 12% damage boost, pop Slow Time with Time Warp rune on the enemy for an extra 20% damage, Magic Weapon with Force Weapon Rune for increased Ray of Frost damage, spawn Hydra for more damage and to apply the fire effect (Don’t use a rune on Hydra, it needs to stay fire).
Glass Cannon boosts your damage by yet another 15%, Conflagration will allow your Hydra’s damage to boost your damage to the enemy by 10% for 3 seconds at a time and Cold Blooded increases your Ray of Frost damage by another 20%.
This build is by far the most damage you can do to a single target (IE Boss).
Frost Kiting and AOE Wizard Build

Needless to say you have many, many slows and AoE spells starting from Ray of Frost with Numb rune for improved slow. Frost Nova to freeze your targets to the ground and Cold Snap rune to reduce the cooldown. Blizzard for AoE damage with Grasping Call rune to also apply 60% slow. Ice Armor with Ice Reflect rune for a 25% chance to create Frost Nova on the attacker and does 75% weapon damage as Cold. Teleport with Fracture Rune.
Passives include Glass Cannon for damage, Prodigy for Arcane Power regeneration and Cold Blooded to increase your Cold damage.
As the saying goes…you can’t kill what you can’t catch.

Well it is now past 8:01am on 5/14/2012, so you should no longer be getting the “unexpected decryption error” when trying to install Diablo 3. However, if you are still getting the unexpected decryption error then you either have corrupted installation files or you need to finish downloading the diablo 3 installation package.
To fix the problem go to where you downloaded your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder (which is most likely in C:\users\[your computer username]\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer or in C:\Program Files\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer or C:\Program Files(x86)\Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer and see if you have any “.part” files there.
If you do then you need to restart your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer-downloader.exe” file. If you don’t remember where you downloaded the “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer-downloader.exe” file to, but you found your “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder, then just download the diablo 3 installer from battle.net (or below if you are pre-installing without a battle.net preorder) and then when it ask where to save the files, just point it to the “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder again and it will resume the download.
In the worst case senario (corrupted installation files) you just need to re-download the installer (preferrably through battle.net) and re-download all the Diablo 3 Setup Files.
Once the download is complete, the Diablo 3 installer will automatically launch the Diablo 3 game installation and the actual setup will begin.

This error message generally indicates that the installation files may be corrupted, damaged or incomplete. Please make sure your download has finished before attempting to install the game. Secondly, make sure the installation executable file is in the same folder as all your other Diablo III installation files. If the problem persists, you may need to delete all the files and restart the download.
Your installation folder should not have any files with the .Part extension. If it does, it indicates the downloader was closed prematurely. Restart the downloader in this case, selecting the same location the “Diablo-III-8370-enUS-Installer” folder is in, and it will check the existing files and download what’s missing. It’s important to let the downloader finish on it’s own. It will start the “Diablo III Setup.exe” file when it’s done. It can take a while so please be patient.

Blizzard announced today that shortly after the release of Diablo 3 they will be adding a Character Profile Interface to their website that will allow you to show off how far you have progressed, number of enemies you’ve killed, playtimes of hardcore heroes, your equipment, skills and much more.
This is essentially a Character “Armory” for the gamers that are familiar with World of Warcraft. I personally like how the interface for the character profiles looks so far. You will be able to see which class the player uses most, their gear setup, progression, artisan levels, fallen hardcore heroes, the skills they use and the attributes are also really well laid out. It even shows the gear that your followers are wearing.

With that much information being readily available about your characters hopefully Blizzard will place some sort of “private” feature to the character profiles if you don’t want your “secret skill build” or “the perfect equipment setup” being shown. From the images it looks like the Battletag requires the numbers at the end, so that may be the privacy feature….I guess we will have to wait to see if the character profiles are searchable without that number.

Shortly after the launch of Diablo III, we’ll be adding a new feature to our official site. Profiles will let you review all of your character information at a glance, share it with others, and check out the accomplishments of the other heroes out there.
You’ll be able to look at your heroes (or your friends’ heroes) from any page on the Diablo III site through our personalized menu. If you’re curious about the exploits of your fellow forum posters, it’ll be a simple matter to click over to their profiles and feel envious of their gear or how long they’ve managed to keep their Hardcore characters alive.
Our first profiles release will include these two elements:
- A career tab that displays all of your heroes, how far you’ve progressed in the Diablo III campaign, how many foes you’ve slain, the names and playtimes of your fallen Hardcore heroes, and more.
- A heroes tab that shows off your equipment (including dyes, socketed gems, all equipment bonuses, etc.), your attributes and skills, the skills and equipment of your Followers, and more.
We’re planning to add tabs that’ll show off your artisans and achievements as well. Profiles will be available on the site sooner rather than later, but you should feel free to share your suggestions and thoughts in the comments section below or in the Website Features forum.
We’ve also been hard at work on a ton of other website content, available to help you sharpen your knowledge and prepare to face the forthcoming onslaught. Blizzard released a Diablo 3 Launch day preparation guide today to get us ready for when Diablo 3 goes live. This Diablo 3 launch day guide also gives us a few updates on what to expect for the upcoming days prior to launch. For starters blizzard has decided to unlock the encrypted Diablo 3 files on May 14th so that we can start installing Diablo 3 one day early. This will allow us to have the game fully installed, patched and ready to go as soon as the servers go live at 12:01am on May 15th.
The Diablo 3 pre-order files will be decrypted and allowed to be installed at the times listed below:
8:01 a.m. PDT on May 14
16:01 GMT on May 14
17.01 CEST on May 14
So start installing Diablo 3 May 14, patch Diablo 3 and be ready to play when the servers go live!
Blizzard also gives us another update about global play stating that players will only be able to play on their designated servers by region until the game goes live in the USA (12:01 PDT) on May 15th. After the launch of Diablo 3 in the America’s players will then be able to participate in Global Play and they may choose to play on any regions servers. As we near Diablo III’s long-awaited May 15 launch date, we have some additional details to share on what to expect, how to prepare, and when you’ll be able to begin installing and playing.
Purchase the Game
If you haven’t already purchased Diablo III you can acquire it directly from Blizzard through the digital presale. You can also preorder the game at most major retailers and fine purveyors of high-quality gaming products worldwide. If you’re interested in the Diablo® III Collector’s Edition, please be aware that this physical retail-only edition is printed in limited quantities and has already sold out in most places that take preorders on games. We recommend calling around and checking if your local retailers will have the Collector’s Edition available.
Create Your BattleTag™
We expect that on launch night both the game service and website will be under very heavy strain due to the immense number of people excited to be among the first playing Diablo III. With that in mind, we highly recommend you create your BattleTag now, as it’s required to play Diablo III. Please keep in mind that this non-unique nickname is a permanent choice, and will display both in-game and on the website, so be sure to choose one you like! (What is a BattleTag?)

Digital Presale Download
If you’ve purchased a digital copy you can begin downloading your client right now, and we highly encourage you to do so. We also have a Diablo III presale visual guide available that may be helpful. As it may take you some time to download the full game, it’s best that you begin early. This may afford you additional time to troubleshoot any downloader or installer issues you may encounter.
Early Install
We will be unlocking the game’s installer at 8:01 a.m. PDT on May 14. This will allow you to begin installing the game, troubleshoot any issues you run into, download and install the launch day 1.0.1 patch, and be ready to play as soon as the servers come online.
Global Play Launch Time
We’ll be turning on Global Play when the game has launched in all regions. This means that you will not be able to play in a region outside your home region until after the Americas’ midnight launch at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 15. We’ll provide an update once Global Play is enabled, and you’ll then be able to change the region you connect to through the game’s options. Please note that characters, items, and friends lists do not transfer across regions and players who use Global Play to connect outside of their home region will only be able to access the gold-based auction house. Launch Night Login
As we’ve unlocked the Diablo III installer early, many people will be ready to log in right when the servers go live at midnight, so we’re going to be closely monitoring the impact on the service. It’s possible we’ll need to adjust the rate at which we’re logging people in to ensure a stable experience, and if we do you may see a delay when attempting to login. Please be aware that a delay of up to 40 seconds is possible while the game attempts to connect you. If your connection doesn’t succeed in 40 seconds, you’ll be presented with an Error 37 message and asked to try again. If you see this error it does in fact mean that you should try again. We’ll be working around the clock to keep you informed of any issues that are occurring through the in-game breaking news window, as well as the official forums.
Diablo 3 Inferno Tips
IGN recently interviewed Diablo 3 developer Jay Wilson on how to survive Inferno difficulty in Diablo 3.
Summary of the Diablo 3 Inferno Tips:
- 1. Inferno will be soloable, assuming you are properly geared and your skill level is adequate.
- 2. Inferno’s difficulty increases when you join a group, but the additional skilled players outweighs the increase in difficulty
- 3. Inferno will require large single target DPS in order to kill bosses, champions, rares and elites
- 4. While Area of Effect (AoE) abilities will still be helpful, you will not be able to AoE every monster pack down
- 5. You will need to use defensive abilities in order to stay alive, Jay Wilson recommends 2 defensive abilities: 1 to keep yourself alive and one to help keep your group alive
- Some inferno mobs will create walls in order to keep you from kiting them around
Jay Wilson also says that each act of Inferno will have its own tier loot and the difficulty of Inferno will increase as you progress through the Acts.

Blizzard announced on May 1st, 2012 that the real money auction house (RMAH) will not be released immediately with the launch of Diablo 3 on May 15th. Instead they plan to enable the RMAH one week after the release of D3.
Blizzard states the delay in the release of the RMAH is to ensure that it is bug free before opening it up, however I’d speculate that it is also to allow for some time for players to find out what items and gold are worth in the game before they start throwing up random items for some random amount of cash.
According to the official RMAH FAQ the cost of selling items has been reduced to $1.00 for items (it was originally going to be $1.25 per item) and Blizzard’s cut for selling commodities such as gold and any “stackable” resources, such as crafting materials, will be 15% of the commodity sell price. Blizzard also announced that there will be no fee to list your items in the auction house, so you will only be charged a fee if the item actually sells.

Directory submissions are effective in driving traffic to your website for one reason and one reason only: People interested in visiting sites like yours visit those directories to find what they are looking for and they typically find the directory in one of two ways:
Through a search query at one of the search engines
By referral from someone they know and trust
It doesn’t really matter how a visitor who visits your website found the directory that lead them there. The important thing is that someone found you through a directory. But if you don’t submit your site to the directory then no one can find you. Directories don’t crawl websites like search engines do so the only way your site can be listed in a directory is if someone submits it there.
Using Directory Submissions To Build Link Popularity
Link popularity is the measure of your website’s inbound links. Many people think it boils down to the number of links that point to your website, but that’s only a part of the equation. The other part is the quality of the links and that quality is measured by several factors as well. Some of the factors that influence link popularity include:
Age of the website linking to you
Authority of the website that links to you
The relevance in topic or subject matter of the website linking to you
